What is teeth whitening?

Teeth whitening can be a very effective way of lightening the natural colour of your teeth without removing any of the tooth surface (enamel).

It will lighten the existing shade of your teeth by up to 16 shades.

Who cannot have teeth whitening?

Anyone who is currently suffering from gum disease. It is essential that if you have any signs of gum disease you should be seen by your dentist for advice before attending any teeth whitening sessions.

We also recommend that pregnant and breastfeeding women do not have their teeth whitened.

How long does the session take?

On or around an hour, this is three fifteen minute sessions.

I have crowns/caps/fillings/veneers, will teeth whitening still work?

Yes! The teeth whitening procedure will restore crowns, caps,fillings or veneers to their original colour without causing any damage.

Please note that the process will not whiten them more than their original colour.

How long do results last?

With good oral hygiene and reduced staining habits, results can last 6–12 months.

Will it make my teeth sensitive?

This is a question that concerns most people. The majority of people find the process completely painless, however, a small percentage of people experience temporary sensitivity to hot or cold for 24-48 hours following their session.
