Aftercare

To help you get the best results and support your recovery, please follow these aftercare guidelines.

Leave oils in for at least 12 hours before washing.
Avoid heat styling for 24 hours.
Stay hydrated.
Use a cool compress if scalp feels sensitive.

Is your Japanese Headspa suitable for all hair types?

Yes, the treatment is suitable for all hair types and textures from 1A to 4C. Our techniques and products are gentle and adaptable to your individual scalp and hair needs.

Do I need to prepare in any specific way before the treatment?

No special preparation is needed. We recommend arriving with dry unwashed hair that is free of heavy styling products.

Brush and remove any knots in your hair as this will go into the treatment time.

We also ask to either remove contact lenses or bring your case with you to maximise your experience for use of steam and eye masks.

Is the treatment suitable for pregnant women?

No Japanese Headspa is not recommended for pregnant ladies due to lying flat on your back for a long period of time.

Is the Japanese Headspa suitable for people with hair extensions?

No as it is not suitable for anyone with locks, braids, weaves and hair extensions as therapist is unable to get to the scalp and exfoliate.

How often should I get a Japanese Headspa?

For best results, we recommend once every 4 weeks due to skin cycle turnover which is every 28 days.

What products do you use?

Products used are free from 6 potentially harsh chemicals which are sulphates, parabens, phthalates, silicones, dea and synthetic dyes. The products are vegan, cruelty free and gluten free. Shampoos are nutrient rich.
